Apa-ap is now full-fledged PGSO head
ROXAS CITY – Mr. Eduardo “Boy” Apa-ap II is now a full-fledged chief of the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) after he was confirmed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) in a special session last Wednesday.
All of the SP members approved the confirmation of Apa-ap.
Apa-ap was appointed by Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. as OIC head of PGSO after Mr. Fernando Billones retired from the post several months ago.
In his message during the session, Apa-ap expressed thanks to Tanco and the provincial board for their trust and confidence in appointing him as head of the said office and he vowed to do his duty well.
Apa-ap entered the government service on August 25, 1977 as a laborer of the Provincial Treasurer’s Office and later became a permanent utility worker until he assumed as Clerk II in July 1989.
On May 17, 1993, he was promoted as Supply Officer III at the PGSO and on May 22, 1996 until his promotion as PGSO chief, Apa-ap was the provincial assistant department head of the said office.
Earlier, upon his appointment as PGSO OIC, Apa-ap conducted an inventory of all properties of the provincial government in Bailan District Hospital, Mambusao District Hospital, Tapaz District Hospital, Senator Roxas Hospital in Dao, Pilar Medicare Hospital and Dumarao Medicare Hospital.
According to him, once properties are found to be unserviceable, he will recommend to the SP and the Commission on Audit for its disposal.
He added that other offices under the provincial government to be inventoried are: all department heads of the provincial capitol, Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), and Roxas Memorial Hospital.
