RDC meets in Capiz Dec. 4
ROXAS CITY – A regular conference of the Regional Development Council (RDC) in Western Visayas is set here on December 4 as part of the activities for the Sinadya sa Halaran (SSH) celebration from Dec. 3 to 8 this year.
The RDC meeting will also be simultaneous with the opening of the Western Visayas Tourism Assembly (WVTA) here.
Provincial Tourism Officer Alphonsus Tesoro said that the upcoming meeting of the highest policy-making body in the region will be attended by the governors, regional directors of national government agencies and representatives of non-government organizations, among others.
The RDC officials are also expected to grace and witness the WVTA’s parade of festivals after the conference.
In 2008, the Council has also conducted its 4th quarter regular meeting at the Hall of Governors, Provincial Capitol, here.
RDC is the primary institution that coordinates and sets the direction of all economic and social development efforts in the region. It also serves as a forum where local efforts can be related and integrated with national development activities. (PIA/A.Lumaque)
