Traveling along Iznart Street
Iznart Street continued.
Part Two
This street is straight to the south! As you continue to walk this street, you will hit the intersection of three streets, that of Iznart, to the west the Calle Real, and another old street to the east, Ledesma Street. There is an old landmark that has been transferred to the east wing towards Ledesma Street.
What is found now in the center of the crossing between the three old streets is another recent monument of a popular society group in Iloilo.
That’s the Plazoleta Intersection among the three old streets of Iloilo, Iznart, Calle Real (J.M. Basa and Ledesma Streets), a popular thoroughfare in Iloilo City.
Crossing these, one will see old buildings. Then, one will end up in Maria Clara where one will find an ancient edifice of a woman studying and updating herself, representing the intersections of three streets. This is call the Maria Clara section of the city. (Copyright I-Travel Series)
