City opens second lying-in hospital
The city government Wednesday opened its second lying-in hospital at Arevalo district that will cater to patients from the Molo and Arevalo districts.
City councilor Julienne Baronda, who chairs the Committee on Women and Family Relations at the Sangguniang Panlungsod, said with the opening of the new clinic, patients will no longer have to queue at the City Health Office (CHO) nor at the Lapaz Reproductive Hospital.
According to Baronda, the staff at the new hospital underwent training at the Lapaz Reproductive Hospital in order to provide the same best service for patients.
The new lying-in hospital would specifically cater to pregnant mothers for their monthly prenatal and related concerns.
The city government spent some P2.5 million for the construction of the new facility. (PNA)
