Paravet assembly held in Fifth District
About 109 participants coming from the towns and cities of the Fifth District of Negros Occ. attended the Paravet Assembly held at La Castellana Fastrac Covered Court, recently, with Gov. Isidro P. Zayco as the guest of honor.
The activity was attended by paravets, hog raisers, municipal and city agriculturists, and livestock technicians from the municipalities of Isabela, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Hinigaran, and Binalbagan and Himamaylan City.
It was a joint project of the provincial government through the Provincial Veterinary Office headed by Dr. Renante Decena; San Miguel Animal Health Care; and the Federation of Paravet Association of Negros Occidental.
Themed “One Paravet, One Service, One Province”, the activity is also an information campaign of the livestock and poultry projects being implemented in the district.
Dr. Eliezer Tampo, a veterinarian from B-Meg gave a lecture on swine diseases, latest treatment technology and tips on how to become an effective livestock technician.
Vice Gov. Emilio L. Yulo, III, Fifth District Board Member Melvin Ibanez and Sagay City Mayor Alfredo Maranon, Jr. were among the guests who attended the activity.
Veterinary drugs, coolers, fresh milk samples and rice were also distributed to the participants./Capitol News
