Capiceña gives birth to conjoined twin
ROXAS CITY – A 27-year old mother from Cuartero gave birth to a conjoined twin last Sunday evening in Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital but the babies died after 30 minutes.
The twin babies were delivered by Joan Hopanda of Barangay Bitoon, Cuartero, Capiz thru Cesarean operation conducted by Dr. Celenie Baticados Bauson.
Neda Pamposa, 56, mother of Joan, told The News Today (TNT) that her daughter was admitted at the hospital since Sunday afternoon and delivered the conjoined twin around 9:00 p.m.
According to her, the twin has two heads and four feet but has only one body while some parts of their intestines are already outside.
She said that the conjoined twin was brought to their residence in Cuartero yesterday so that they will be buried there.
Pamposa added that her daughter was not informed about the fate of her newly-born babies for fear that it might affect her health since she is still admitted at the said hospital.
