Noynoy, Mar to declare bets in Capiz
ROXAS CITY – Liberal Party presidential and vice presidential bets Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Sen. Mar Roxas will visit the province of Capiz on November 25 to declare their local candidates for the 2010 election.
Last month, Aquino postponed his visit to Capiz after his place in Luzon was submerged by flood which needs his attention. Only Roxas was here to meet with political leaders.
Mr. Emmanuel “Tawi” Billones, trusted man of Sen. Roxas, said that the senator will arrive here on November 25 at 6:15 a.m. via Philippine Air Lines (PAL) while Aquino will also land here via Cebu Pacific at around 9:30 in the morning on the same day.
Billones said that the presidential and vice presidential aspirants will have a caravan at the city’s major streets like Boulevard, Plaridel Street and Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center, then proceed to Capiz Gym at Villareal Stadium to have a sectoral dialogue and proclamation of their chosen candidates for the 1st district of Capiz at 11:00 a.m.
Expected to be proclaimed at Capiz Gym are: reelectionist 1st District Rep. Antonio del Rosario, former PNP chief retired General Roberto “Bobby” Lastimoso for congressman in 2nd district; reelectionist Governor Victor Tanco, Sr; vice gubernatorial bet Board Member Esteban “Nonoy” Contreras and five board members.
For city mayor, former Vice Mayor Allan Celino and Vice Mayor Ronnie Dadivas as running mate and ten city councilors slots.
For 1st district town mayors: Panitan, reelectionist Mayor Kit Belo and Vice Mayor Heneroso Deramas; Panay, Nene Asis for mayor and running mate; Pontevedra, reelectionest Steve Contreras and Dr. Nelson Oquindo, Jr for vice mayor; President Roxas, Board Member Raymund Locsin for mayor and running mate; Maayon, Vice Mayor Pedot Borres for mayor and running mate and Pilar, reelectionist Mayor Ritalyn Patricio and running mate.
The group will have a lunch break at the Villareal Stadium pool side and at around 1:15 p.m., Noynoy and Mar will have a caravan and will proceed to Sigma town where all 2nd district chosen candidates will be proclaimed.
Expected to be anointed in Sigma are: for Sigma, reelectionist Mayor Maria Andaya and running mate; Sapian, former Vice Mayor Jose Parohinog for mayor and running mate Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member Jonathan Gallardo for vice mayor; Ivisan, retired Police Officer Paeng Untayao and running mate; Mambusao, Board Member Nenita Martilino for mayor and Alex Lerona for vice mayor; Tapaz, Nonong Palomar for mayor and running mate; Cuartero, Board Member Baden Cantiller for mayor and Former Vice Mayor Lito Hijosa as running mate; Dumarao, Victor Tanco, Jr. (son of Gov. Tanco,Sr.) for mayor and former Vice Mayor Edgar Arancillo for vice mayor. The party’s bets for Dao, Cuartero and Jamindan will be announced during the proclamation.
After the proclamation of bets, Noynoy and Mar will pass by Mambusao which will be holding its annual fiesta and proceed to Kalibo, Aklan to also to meet with political leaders there.
