ROXAS CITY – Farmers and fisherfolks in Capiz will come together in Roxas City on December 3 for the opening of the agri-aqua fair.
Dubbed as “Hugod Capisnon,” the activity aims to showcase and promote the various agricultural products of Capiceños, particularly from the various towns here.
Provincial head Sylvia dela Cruz of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) of Capiz disclosed that 13 municipalities have already confirmed their participation to the week-long agri-fair.
Dela Cruz said that the Hugod Capisnon, which will be graced by Capiz Governor Victor Tanco, is one of the highlights of the Sinadya sa Halaran celebration which will start on December 3 and will end on December 8.
She pointed out that the fair will kick off with the cutting of ribbon at 2:30 in the afternoon of December 3.
Among the agricultural and fishery products that will be showcased during the fair include the aromatic rice from Tapaz and Jamindan, fresh vegetables, shrimps, crabs, and other town’s best products, Dela Cruz said.
Sinadya sa Halaran festival is a jovial celebration of thanksgiving and sharing of the blessings that took forms in programs and activities that depict oneness of Capiznon with his Divine Source of blessings, with the blessings themselves, and with the whole humankind.
