St. Anne Medical Clinic on its 3rd year of service
True to its fundamental principle of charity, the Knights of Columbus, Molo Council 5028 has established St. Anne Medical Clinic on June 2006. It is situated at the ground floor of St. Anne Parish Molo Convent.
Its main objective is to provide free medical consultation and free medicines to the less fortunate patients in the depressed barangays of the District of Molo, Iloilo City. It is open every Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 AM to 12 noon and caters to an a verage of 30 indigent patients per consultation day. Patients are identified as indigents by the barangay facilitators and certified bonafide residents of their respective villages by their barangay captain.
For the past three years, the clinic has served thousands of patients mostly malnourished and underweight children complaining of productive cough, on and off fever and poor appetite. The rest are old diabetic, hypertensive and arthritis sufferers.
The clinic is kept alive for thee years under the supervision of Dr. Greg Sancho, now incumbent Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Molo Council 5028 and incumbent President of Iloilo City (Host) Lions Club, District 301-B. The major provider of the free medicines given to the indigent patients is the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office through its Regional Office headed by Director Jeanette Oberio.
