Sing Songs of Christmas at Robinsons
In the tradition of giving colorful and melodious Christmas nights to the Ilonggos, Robinsons Place Iloilo opens another big outdoor attraction this year with Sing Songs of Christmas at the Ledesma Carpark. It features all-time favorite Christmas tunes inviting the audience to sing or hum along with their familiar strain. The opening night also featured ABS-CBN’s Christmas Tree of Hope Grand Launching with the presence of City Major Jerry P. Trenas, Fr. Jonas Mijares, people from media industry and presidents of partners’ schools of the said fundraising project. The Kapamilya Christmas tree of hope is a Fundraising project of ABS-CBN Network Inc. Giant Christmas trees will be situated to the different Schools and public areas such as malls and parks in Iloilo City .
At the amount of ten pesos, each individual is entitled to have a star in the Christmas tree of hope and they could be able to help raise a fund for the beneficiaries of the said project.
As Iloilo City share of responsibility and because Major Jerry Trenas compliments the project of Kapamilya Network, P20,000 is allotted by the City Government for the Christmas tree of hope.
This fundraising project is supported by Central Philippine University (CPU), Iloilo Chinese Commercial High School (ICCHS), IJAS Community Iloilo, St. Joseph High School and Student Nurses Association of the Philippines (SNAP) Iloilo Chapter.
The proceeds of this project will be used in the celebration of Feista sa Banwa, an activity wherein street children and another indigenous people in the city is given a food for Christmas.
