Mayor instructs setting up of One-Stop Shop for permits, licenses
Mayor Evelio Leonardia recently directed all offices of the city government involved in the issuance of permits and licenses to set up a one-stop shop at the SM City events center beginning January 4 until February 12 next year.
Leonardia, in a memorandum, said that the setting up of a one-stop shop is a continuing commitment of the city government to provide convenience to investors and to sustain investor-friendly procedures for an efficient and effective processing of business permits and licenses.
The mayor noted that the one-stop shop of Bacolod had been recognized and featured in various local government units, publications and entities as one of the best practices of the city, and the major reason why Bacolod was awarded as the Most Business Friendly City in the Philippines.
He further said that the program earned a very encouraging feedback from the people who apply for their business registration and renewal the reason why the city government continues to make innovations for better service.
Offices who had been issued the directive were Office of the ABC President, Permits and Licensing Department, City Treasurer’s Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Health Office, Office of the Building Official, City Tourism Office, City Fire Marshall, City Veterinary Office, City Agriculture Office, Bacolod Traffic Authority and the City Environment Office.
