USA-CAS pre diamond jubilee homecoming Dec 19
Alumni, former faculty members and staff of the University of San Agustin College of Arts and Sciences will come together for a homecoming on December 19, Saturday, at the University Quadrangle. The homecoming will jumpstart the College’s Diamond Jubilee celebration next year, 2010.
The College of Arts and Sciences began as the College of Liberal Arts in 1935, initially offering the Preparatory Law course. In 1977, the College earned the singular distinction as the first to be accredited in Western Visayas by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). Due to the expansion of its academic programs, it renamed College of Arts and Sciences in 2001, three years before the centenary of the University of San Agustin.
The pre-Diamond Jubilee homecoming at lunch time on December 19 will start with a Mass at the Chapel of the USA main campus at 9:00 A.M., to be followed by a motorcade on the main streets of the city. The College alumni association is also going to be reactivated.
For details and reservations, alumni and alumnae are advised to contact Ms. Malou Serantes, College Secretary, at (033) 3374841 to 44, local 240. (UCRP)
