Aisha Peñalosa’s Prologue
Aisha Penalosa with Ditas Taleon of Robinsons.Aisha Peñalosa’s career in fashion designing was officially launched with her first ever show entitled “Prologue” at Robinsons Place Iloilo recently. Aisha’s inspiration were her old designs way back in high school. She used jersey, hablon and some imported materials in order to make the collection for glam. “This is because I love materials that are funky and comfortable,” Aisha said.
Aisha decided to have a segment on real people, presenting the Assumption alumni. “They are the best representation of myself on how I could be diverse when it comes to the clients. I made it look fun and youthful by using colors and funky details. At the same time, I used fast sexy music like Harajuko Girls and Fire. The second segment was the real me wherein I showed lots of layering and teared type dresses. I used black as my main color and mixed it with stripes, checkered grey and whites. Since these designs are quite on the rocker chic side, I chose gothic type music,” Aisha said.
