Man stabs Indian national over loan refusal
An Indian national was stabbed after he refused to renew a loan application Saturday morning at Rizal St., Calinog, Iloilo.
Gurdeep Singh, 25, temporarily residing at Alta Tierra Village, Jaro, Iloilo City suffered two stab injuries on the left side of his waist and arm.
According to reports, at around 10 AM of January 2, Singh and suspect Renante Ledesma alias Alog had a heated argument.
“Indi na siya pagpautangon sang Bombay nabal-an nga indi gali siya ang tag-iya sang Teresita Store,” said Calinog Police Station investigator SPO2 Nilo Campos.
At the height of their argument, the suspect stabbed the victim and immediately fled.
It was gathered that Ledesma is from Luzon but married a resident of Calinog.
Meanwhile, Singh was brought to the nearby hospital and was later transferred to Iloilo St. Paul’s Hospital for further treatment.
