Negros PNP defends title as best performing police unit in WV
The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) final Performance Evaluation Rating for 2009 revealed that Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) is on top of other police units in Western Visayas NOPPO swept the last quarter performance evaluation as No. 1 of nine provincial and city, including 6th Regional Mobile Group (now known as Regional Public Safety Management Battalion) in all four performance evaluation ratings last year.
NOPPO is headed by Police Senior Superintendent Manuel B. Felix.
The rating was based on ten performance indicators: personnel, logistics, intelligence, operations, doctrine development, plans, research, community relations, finance management, and investigation.
PRO-6 director, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani R. Cuevas, applauded NOPPO for keeping an outstanding performance throughout the year 2009.
Iloilo City Police Office followed at No.2 from No. 4 spot in the third quarter. Aklan PPO and Iloilo PPO landed No. 3 and 4, respectively; Guimaras PPO was in No. 5 followed by Capiz PPO, Antique PPO, Bacolod City and 6th RMG. (JC Rio)
