Bolante to Tanco: Improve Capiz tourism, scap P683M loan
ROXAS CITY – Former Agriculture Usec. Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante told Capiz Governor Victor Tanco, Sr. to improve Capiz tourism for the progress and improvement of the province instead of focusing on achieving the P683 million loan.
This was the challenge of Bolante to Tanco relative to the issue whether or not the province will acquire the proposed loan at the Philippine Veterans Bank.
Citing an example in his argument, Bolante said: Will a family whose salary could hardly be enough for their daily food avail of a loan just to construct their house?”
In one topic during the forum, Bolante said that Camarines Sur stabilized its economy not only because it is well-managed but also because of its political leaders.
“Why can’t we do the same for Capiz?” Bolante said adding that Capiz is better than Camarines Sur in terms of its tourist attraction, economic stability and many others.
Meanwhile, Tanco said that his opponent (Bolante) is still dreaming for Capiz while his administration already implemented projects.
“My values in life are: don’t steal, don’t lie and don’t promise something which you will not fulfill,” Tanco quipped.
