Mass wedding of 562 couples on Feb. 14
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia will officiate on the matrimonial vows of 562 couples during the mass wedding, February 14 at the Bays Center.
The mass wedding is part of the February activities of the Bacolod City Civil Registrar’s Office in celebration of National Civil Registration Month.
Mayor Bing Leonardia expressed his support to this national celebration and also thanking the Bacoleños for the positive response to the national program.
The mayor further stressed that this program of the city is geared towards the strengthening of the family – to legitimize common-law relationships for the welfare of the children.
City Civil Registrar, Evelyn D. Legaspina said that this year’s theme: “Wastong Rehistro: Lahat Panalo”, aims to legalize unmarried couples in order to minimize illegitimate children in our midst.
