RPM evaluation and planning workshop held
BACOLOD CITY — About 70 participants coming from the 19 municipalities of the Province of Negros Occidental participated in a two-day Responsible Parenting Movement (RPM) Evaluation and Planning Workshop that ended recently.
Sponsored by the Population Division of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), it aimed at educating the public through the population program workers and RPM federation officers, of the importance of having a healthy, happy, productive and empowered family in line with the Article XV of the Philippine Constitution.
During the opening ceremony, Dina Dumadia of the Provincial Population Program under the PSWDO gave the RPM overview while Harold Marcial of the Regional Population Office VI gave a lecture on the Population Program’s Major Thrust for 2010.
Fourth District Board Member Mae Javellana inducted the newly-elected Provincial RPM Federation officers led by Ernilo Banas of the Municipality of Cauayan as president.
Other elected officers were Leo Garduce, vice president; Juvy Maceda, secretary; Aufry Baria, asst. secretary; Jazz Macapanas, treasurer; Garry Malangin, asst. treasurer; Janet Capangpangan, auditor; Nobie Dobria, asst. auditor; Juana Buenaflor, Salvador Gellegani, Jr. and Rhodora Ilaya, as public information officers.
