RPA-ABB refutes guns-for-hire tag
Of course not!
The Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade (RPA-ABB) – Ka Hugo faction denied that they are used by politicians as private army.
In an interview over ABS-CBN, Ka Rolly refuted claims that they were commissioned by Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Raul Gonzalez, Sr. to serve as the politician’s armed men.
“Ang ina nga text message, wala gid ina sang kamatuoran as far as the RPA-ABB is concerned. Indi ina matuod. Ang akon paglantaw sina, buhat ina sang mga grupo who are partisan,” he said.
As they came out in the open, Rolly said that it is very convenient for some group to ascribe to them threats made by other group.
Following the text messages claiming that convicts or rebels were allegedly used by a politician in Iloilo City, another text message of the same topic came out recently.
It reads: “Info from intel: Ang Hugo Group nga mga taga-Janiuay, Badiangan kag Mina nga splinter group nga halin sa RPA-ABB ang guns for hire nga grupo nga ginapamunuan ni Demetrio Capilastique gin hire ni Raul Gonzalez,Sr. para mangin armed group niya diri sa Iloilo City. Ang liaison ni Gonzalez sa ila ang mga former NPAs nga ara sa Tacas, Jaro. Naga maintain man si Raul Gonzalez, Sr. sang balay para sa iya armed group sa LJ Ledesma Jaro lapit sa balay sang mga Baclagon. Ang isa ka grupo nga guns for hire nga gin hire ni Gonzalez ang splinter nga halin sa Kido Parcon Group. Please pass to pre-empt their moves because the police are not moving.”
Janiuay, Badiangan and Mina are neighboring towns in Iloilo City.
By Kido Parcon, it was theorized that the texter referred to the group allegedly by deceased Mayor Parcon of Pototan town.
Meanwhile, when asked, Gonzalez denied anything to do with a private army.
“I deny that explicitly and I want to know who is the source of that story because I never met that Ka Hugo. I met him maybe 4 years ago,” he said.
For the former Justice Secretary, the reports against him are mere black propaganda circulated by his political opponent.
“Tanan nga black propaganda gina-usar nila sa akon. For example, ginahambal nila nga nagsuka ko dugo pero indi man matuod,” he claimed.
As this developed, the local PNP in the area has yet to verify the veracity of the said information.
