PhilHealth VI recognizes partner stakeholders
In celebration of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation’s 15th anniversary this February, PhilHealth Regional Office VI (PhRO VI) will bestow recognition to its chosen partner stakeholders.
According to Marilyn C. Geduspan, Regional Vice President of PhRO VI, the citations will be given to Health Care Providers, Accredited Collecting Agents, Private and Government Employers and Local Government Units for their valuable support in achieving the Corporation’s thrust of making accessible, affordable, adequate and quality health care for all Filipinos.
PhRO VI has significantly attained its universal coverage mandate, wherein all of its 6 provinces were recipients of the citations bestowed by the Corporation during the recently concluded national awarding. President Gloria M. Arroyo, former DOH now CSC Secretary Francisco T. Duque, PhilHealth President & CEO Dr. Rey B. Aquino, members of the Board and many others graced the affair last February 12 at PICC in Metro Manila.
Aside from the said LGUs, the City of Iloilo and Bacolod also emerged as awardees for highly urbanized city category. However, for the Health Care Providers’ category, Pandan, Antique’s Tugon Medical Clinic and Hospital was one of the awardees for Primary Level Hospital; Rural Health Unit of Dumalag, Capiz as OPB/MCP/DOTS Provider, and Elma Boluso Well Family Clinic of Roxas City as provider for the Maternity Care Package.
PhRO VI also qualifies to the Corporation’s “billionaires’ club” in terms of premium collection and paid more than 1 Billion benefits last year. None of these accomplishments would have been realized without the support of every partner- stakeholder.
In pursuing the event, PhRO VI sets its criteria for the selection of its top performing partners. As to the accredited collecting banks (ACBs), completeness of reports and efficiency of service in catering PhilHealth clients are the key factors to qualify for the award. Top nominees are Metrobank, BDO-Unibank and LandBank.
PhilHealth will also recognize employers for ensuring timeliness and correctness in filing of their reports. The University of St. La Salle, Bacolod, Riverside College-Medical Center, Bacolod and Vallacar Transit, Inc., emerged as top remitting and reporting employers for the private sector while DepED 6, City Government of Iloilo and Provincial Government of Negros Occidental for the government sector.
As to health care providers’ category, awardees criteria are based on early submission of claims with completeness and accuracy, low Return to Hospital (RTH) and denied claims and prompt submission of accreditation requirements. However, the facility should have no negative decided cases, neither reports of under deduction/ unclaimed refund nor an outlier.
The nominees for Health Care Providers are Southern Negros Doctors Hospital, Dr. Pablo O. Torre, The Doctors Hospital, Inc., all in Negros Occidental for Tertiary Level Hospital; Barotac Viejo Medical Center, Jesus Colmenares District in Balasan and Mambusao District Hospital in Capiz for Secondary Level, and Tugon Medical Clinic, Ibajay Aklan District Hospital and Immaculate Conception Health Clinic in Victorias City for Primary Level category.
For 3-in-1 Providers, City Health Units of La Carlota and Sagay in Negros Occidental and Dumalag, Capiz RHU are the top three awardees. Additionally, the following are the recipients of the 2-in-1 OPB/DOTS: Malay, Aklan RHU, Jordan, Guimaras RHU and Mandurriao District Health Clinic in Iloilo City. For providers accredited for Maternity Care Package are WFMC in Sigma, Capiz and Elma Boluso in Roxas City. On the other hand, Iloilo Saint Pauls and St Anthony’s PPMD in Roxas City and Medi-link DOTS Clinic in Bacolod City are awardees for the providers of DOTS.
PhilHealth will also give special citation to MLhuillier Philippines, a non-bank entity accredited to do collection through their branches in Region VI to provide easy access to all PhilHealth paying members in the countryside.
