BIR-Capiz to establish Tax Tulungan Centers
ROXAS CITY – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue District Office (RDO) No. 72 will establish the Tax Tulungan Centers in various BIR-Authorized Agent Banks (AABs) and a mall here to help business tax filers meet the April 15 income tax filing deadline.
This was announced by BIR RDO No. 72 head Gil Tabanda during a press conference with Capiz tri-media practitioners as part of the RDO’s 2010 tax drive kick off activities.
The District will also conduct a recoreda (Mobile Public Address System) in the various municipalities to heighten public awareness to help in the heightened public tax awareness campaign.
BIR Regional Director lawyer Glen Geraldino said that the visibility of the revenuers and tax collection agents will be intensified in line with this year’s BIR theme and slogan “Making the Public Know.”
“This means that everybody is being watched as to their tax obligation,” Geraldino said during the media interaction.
