Man nabbed for selling dope
After a number of surveillance operations, a suspected drug peddler was finally nailed following a buy bust at Sitio Bungol, Brgy. Caboloan Norte, Oton, Iloilo.
Members of Oton Police Station collared 39-year old Jose Niel Funtanalgo.
The suspect was nabbed after handling 3 sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves in consideration of P200.
According to Oton PNP chief Senior Insp. Esperidion Biado, an informant helped them to finally put Funtanalgo behind bars.
“Suno sa informant naton, dugay na gabaligya pero after that, gadula-dula siya. Nag conduct kita sang test buy pero after that, nadula naman siya,” he added.
Meanwhile, Funtanalgo admitted that he is indeed into the illegal drug trade.
As to why he was hard to find, the suspect claimed that he crossed the adjacent San Miguel town in doing his illegal business.
Funtanalgo admitted that he also got his marijuana supply from San Miguel.
The suspect is presently detained at the lock-up cell of Oton Police Station pending the filing of appropriate charges against him.
