BIR accredited banks open March 27,
April 10
The Bureau of Internal Revenue, Revenue Region No. 12, announces that all BIR Authorized Agent Banks (AABs) have been requested to open on two consecutive Saturdays March 27, and April 10 to better serve the tax- paying public during the tax filing season.
Banking hours will be extended up to 5:00 pm for the period from April 5 to April 15 to accept tax returns and payments.
BIR Revenue Region 12 officials said this is in line with the BIR’s goal of enhancing voluntary compliance by making it more convenient for taxpayers to file and pay their tax returns.
The move is contained in Bank Bulletin No. 2010-09 in accordance with the provisions of a Memorandum of Agreement among AABs, the BIR and the Bureau of Treasury. (RR12-PIA)
