Trenas ignores Grates allegations on Carlos’ incident
CITY Mayor Jerry Trenas stressed he is a victim in the grenade-throwing incident. He lamented that his property and business is affected because of the incident last Monday.
Trenas said there are still people who want to mislead the conduct of the investigation. He said he has no idea yet on who are the suspects in the Carlos’ incident as he is still waiting for the final report of the police.
He added his children had been harassed, his jewelry store was ransacked, his house was fired upon by unidentified suspect/s and a grenade was lobbed in his restaurant but there are still people who want to portray the incidents as a political drama.
The mayor kept his cool on the allegations hurled by Grates. He said he could not deal on the allegations of a drunken person.
Trenas also answered Grates allegation that there former members of the Philippine Marines acting as his bodyguards. He stressed he has only two police security detailed. The mayor said perhaps Grates is only dreaming of him having Philippine Marine security escorts.
Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Orly Gabinete, chief of Jaro police station said they are on the process of drafting the affidavits of two witnesses, which include security guard Carlo Ganancial.
Gabinete refused to give vivid details on Ganancial’s statement on the identities of the suspects who lobbed the hand grenade. His statement is essential in solving the case.
He said they want to determine the extent of the witnesses in unmasking the principal suspects. It could only be done once the case is filed and arrest is implemented.
