College teacher stabbed dead
A college teacher did not survive after he was stabbed Saturday evening at Brgy. Baguingin, Tigbauan, Iloilo.
Reports said that Wildy Tidula, 25, a teacher of AMA computer school and resident of Brgy. Atabayan, Tigbauan, was on his way home when the incident happened.
It was not clear what was the motive behind Tidula’s death despite that police investigators claimed that they have four suspects in the incident.
“Basi nga na-tripping-an lang gid ining biktima,” said PO2 Nathaniel Alejandria.
It was at around 11:00 in the evening when Tidula’s body was found on a secluded area of Brgy. Atabayan, some 5 meters from where his motorcycle was found.
Residents initially reported of a man slumped at the vegetated portion of the village.
It was only later known that Tidula sustained a lone stab wound on the left side of his chest.
Alejandria believed that the discovery of the body came an hour later of the incident.
Prior to that, Tidula and a male student from AMA just came from a drinking spree.
The victim allegedly brought home the student to Guimbal.
A tricycle driver claimed to have seen the victim stopped while on his way home.
Tidula was allegedly texting when four men approached him.
The driver claimed that he failed to see what happened next as he sped off to his destination.
“What we have are circumstantial evidences. Apparently, the four suspects and Tidula did not know each other. That’s why, it’s a puzzle to us what was the motive of the killing,” Alejandria added.
It was gathered that the victim’s money amounting to some P600 was still intact. His mobile phone, minus the battery, was also in his pocket when he was found.
