Sigma mayor bares projects
SIGMA, Capiz – Despite being an opposition figure, Mayor Maria Andaya still managed to pour in a lot of projects which could be compared to those municipalities who are allies of the administration.
Andaya, a widow of the late 2nd District Congressman Vicente Andaya, said one of her projects is the construction of Police station which already started last month.
She said that it was financed by Philippine National Police (PNP) central office in the amount of P3,587,434.74 while the municipality counter-part is only P500,000.
According to her, renovation and expansion of municipal health center in the amount of P1.8 million is nearly completed at the back of the municipal hall.
The lady mayor also revealed that they have fire truck and ambulance recently acquired by her administration.
Andaya, Liberal Party (LP) mayoral bet in Sigma is only one of the 10 mayors of the 2nd district who do not belong to the camp of Rep. Fredenil Castro, who is chair of Lakas-Kampi CMD.
Andaya is facing former Sigma Mayor Roberto Sualog in the mayoral race.
