Councilorable’s hubby collared for ‘manhandling’ rowdy minors
The husband of a candidate running for councilor in Iloilo City was arrested for allegedly manhandling three teenagers.
Reports claimed that members of the Iloilo City Police Station 1 arrested Antonio Coo, a resident of Fuentes St., Brgy. San Jose, Iloilo City.
Coo is the husband of Gudelia Coo, who is running under the Lakas-Kampi-CMD party.
The arrest was strengthened by an arrest warrant issued by Judge Adriano Savillo of RTC Branch 30, Iloilo City.
The suspect was accused for violating Republic Act 7610 or the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.”
Last March 3, reports said that a rumble happened to a nearby village where Coo lived.
The riot between two groups of youngsters turned into a chasing episode that reached Fuentes St.
Information claimed that Coo allegedly pacified the teenagers.
But when they did not heed for his call, he allegedly manhandled them.
For the complainants, how could Coo pacify when what happened was a kind of maltreatment.
After his arrest Friday afternoon, Coo immediately posted a bailbond amounting to P80,000.
