‘Mr.Clean’ gets thumbs-up, on top 7th spot in survey
Urban planner and former chair of the city’s Boarding House Commission Edward Yee made a major leap on latest survey results for preferred city councilors. With 27.5% trust ratings from 12% in January, Yee secured the top 7th spot seen by political analysts as “safe zone.”
Conducted by the Random Access Consultants Inc. (RACI), period of survey was last March 6th and 7th with 600 respondents from 60 sample barangays.
Yee is among the city bets of Presidentiable Manny Villar’s Nacionalista Party (NP) alongside Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas as lone district Representative. Other NP candidates include Councilor Jose “Jose III” Espinosa for Vice Mayor, Barangay Captain Roberto Divinagracia, Engineer Roy Firmeza and businessman Johnny Young.
Asked where he credits his surging trust ratings, Yee quipped, “from hard work matched with a clear, direct and sincere message as city’s ‘Mr. Clean’ “
“My message is simple – Mr. Clean is here to help, ready to help and very able to help. And it is also ‘Mr. Clean’ for a clean environment, clean barangays and because health is wealth, Mr. Clean is there with a bar of soap for a clean and healthy populace. We started our “clean advocacy” there and connected with our fellow Ilonggos,” Yee shared.
The “safe zone” for voters’ preference for Councilors is shared by Yee with re-electionists officials led by Councilor Nielex Tupas, a consistent topnotcher in practically all surveys.
“I am most grateful for this significant development on the voting Ilonggos’ preference placing me on the top 7th spot. We still have like 7 weeks to go and most certainly, the hard work continues,” “Mr. Clean” assured.
Iloilo City has 242,032 registered voters. Bombo Radyo Iloilo in a series of discussions made public the latest RACI survey results.
