Autopsy: At least 2 suspects killed sex worker in Loboc
Police are looking at the possibility that there are at least two suspects who killed the freelance sex worker whose body was found in Brgy. Loboc, La Paz district, Iloilo last Thursday.
PNP Regional Crime Laboratory medico-legal officer Dr. Noel Martinez revealed that he came up with the said assumption following the discovery that Jerose Galaura Vilches, 22, a native of Buenavista in Guimaras province, was stabbed using three different weapons.
“There are three different weapons using in stabbing her – there’s a single-bladed, double-bladed, and three-sided,” he said about the autopsy result.
Martinez added that Vilches also suffered 31 stab wounds — 12 on her chest, 1 on the jaw, 1 on the stomach, 11 on her back, and 6 on her right arm.
The wounds on her right arm, the medico-legal officer added, are indications that she fought against her assailants.
Further, “her number of injuries would also indicate too much hatred on the part of the suspects. It’s also possible that they took drugs and that they just stab the victim to satisfy whatever they feel.”
As earlier suspected, Martinez confirmed that Vilches was also sexually molested.
“She has congestion or swelling on her genitals,” he revealed.
To note, Vilche’s stab-riddled body was found at a roadside at Brgy. Loboc.
La Paz police investigators believed that Galaura’s body was just tossed in the area and that she was killed elsewhere.
There were no bloodstains on the area where the victim was found.
The night before she was murdered, reports claimed that Galaura was seen at Port San Pedro with some of her girl friends.
Police investigators earlier suspected that a lover or a customet could have killed the victim.
