City distributes 20,000 PhilHealth cards
The city government of Bacolod aims to complete the distribution at least 20,000 PhilHealth cards to residents of the 61 barangays this March.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia, together with other city officials, has already distributed
11, 050 PhilHealth cards to qualified residents and is set to distribute the remaining 8,890 PhilHealth cards within this month.
Leonardia said that provision of free PhilHealth cards is among the priority projects of the city government for the benefit of those who need health services but cannot afford one.
The mayor said that through this program, health programs and services become accessible to many people who cannot meet the expenses of their medical and health needs.
