Ex-Bombo manager, kin hurt in road accident
ROXAS CITY – Ex-station manager of DYOW Bombo Roxas and six others were injured in a road mishap last Friday evening in Arnaldo Boulevard, adjacent to the broadcast center of the said radio station.
Mr. Kenneth Emmanuel Tipon, former station manager of the said radio station, survived including wife, son and several others however, his sister-in-law Dahlia dela Cruz, 38, is still in critical condition as her head hit the concrete road.
Tipon told The News Today (TNT) that he and his family were on their way home to Altavas Subdivision when the single motorcycle driven by Ryan Villanueva, 20 of Fuentes Subdivision here sideswiped the side wheel of the tricycle he was driving hitting De la Cruz who seated on it.
De la Cruz was the first to be brought to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital. But she was transferred to Saint Anthony’s College Hospital.
Villanueva was also confined in a hospital here due to injuries. He was believed drunk while driving his motorcycle.
Tipon also suffered injury at his right ear, while wife Grace Lovella, 37, daughter Kate Lovella, 2, and Dalhia’s two children, Ryan, 7, and Gwyneth, 8, also sustained minor injuries.
Tipon is presently employed at the Capiz Electric Cooperative (Capelco) as information officer.
