Bacolod to host regional drugstore owners’ confab
Bacolod City will again play host to another regional conference, this time to a group of more than 400 delegates who composed the Drugstores Association of the Philippines, Visayas and Mindanao chapters.
The 6th Visayas-Mindanao Drugstores Business Conference that will be held on April 15 to 17 at the L’Fisher Hotel will also be attended by representatives from the pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical companies who will be supporting the event. This year’s theme is “Conquering Challenges Through Innovation”.
The Visayas and Mindanao chapters of the said organization are part of the more than 2,000 members nationwide.
Bacolod has become one of the favorite convention sites nationwide as it boasts of 63 accommodation establishments of different categories with 2,380 rooms, or an increase of 48% in number of room accommodations since 2004. The city placed sixth nationwide as having the most number of hotel rooms.
Some of the big national organizations who have chosen to hold their conventions in Bacolod are the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Philippine Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Philippine Association of Municipal Assessors among many others.
