World Water Day poster, photo contest winners out
BACOLOD CITY — The Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa) has released the winners of poster making and photo contests during the recent celebration of the World Water Day celebration with the theme “ Communicating Water Quality Challenges and Opportunities.”
In the poster making contest held at the Robinson’s Place Bacolod, first place went to Ellamia Huilar of Tay Tung High School, second place- John Rey Tanquinco of Luisa Medel National High School and third place- Kris Angela Louisse Dadivas of Handumanan National High School.
First place winner received P4,000, second place P3,000 and third place P 2,000.
Winners in the photo contest are: First place- Ruth Olea, second place- Edwin Baldonebro and third place- John Arlan Canatoy. They P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000 cash respectively.
Baciwa General Manager Juliana Carbon said the contests help raise the awareness of the people on the importance of having clean water in every homes of the city.
Posters and pictures, she said, can effectively send the message across to its viewers the importance of clean water and how difficult life could be without it. (pia-lol)
