‘Stop the black propaganda,’ Camille appeals to dad’s critics
Peace not war. And while at it, stop the black propaganda and focus on issues of poverty alleviation.
This is now the appeal to Ilonggos of Camille Villar, former Jaro Queen and daughter of Presidentiable Manny Villar amidst incessant personal attacks aimed at her father.
With apparent concerted efforts to discredit the Ilonggo Senator, Camille rallied fellow Ilonggos to unify against any and all forms of “hate campaign.”
In a statement, Camille admitted the extent of the family’s suffering because of the false accusations against her dad including the non-stop accusation against the Senator as a corrupt person.
To note, the same issues have been addressed by the Villars with Camille then telling celebrity reporters, “My father is very sad about it, and so with the entire family.”
The anti-Villar black propaganda increased since ratings in surveys showed that the Villar gap to the other presidential contender has diminished. Also believed as a probable reason that triggered the anti-Villar campaign were the simultaneous nationwide defections of top political leaders to the Villar bandwagon.
“It is not fair at all,” Camille stressed. “Since my father became a political figure, he has undertaken an unprecedented public service, mostly benefitting the poor! Please, help us in spreading the good news that because of hardwork and determination – Sipag at Tiyaga – we can get out of poverty.”
Camille likewise took the time out to rally the Ilonggos to support the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) in its advocacy for a clean and honest elections.
“Let us heed the call of the PPCRV as we thank every PPCRV volunteer all over the country. It is not enough to just vote wisely. We also need to work together for a clean, honest and peaceful elections,” Camille added. “ And my father, Senator Manny Villar is committed to that. His presidency is anchored on the ideals of honesty and integrity.”
