Talisay City energization reaches far-flung barangays
Following its campaign to intensify extensive electrification program in the far-flung barangays, the City Government of Talisay has energized another barangay hacienda, recently.
In a switch-on ceremony led by Mayor Eric M. Saratan, M.D. about 47 households of hacienda Esmeralda II, Brgy. San Fernando benefitted from the City’s continues rural electrification program in partnership with Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO). With the presence of several barangay officials and city councilors, Mayor Saratan expressed confidence that more sitios and haciendas will soon receive the same benefits as he stressed that the City due to its computerization program has exceeded its target in its revenue collection.
Free electric meters and electrical wirings including installations were provided to the local residents as a city’s counterpart to the assistance extended by CENECO.
More than 300 requests from residents coming from different sitios and haciendas of Barangay Katilingan, Brgy. Efigenio Lizares, Brgy. Concepcion, Brgy. San Fernando, Brgy. Dos Hermanas and Brgy. Zone 16 are now being processed.
