Celino in ‘virtual tie’ with Bermejo survey
ROXAS CITY – Liberal Party (LP) mayoral candidate Alan Celino topped the latest poll survey commissioned by a radio station, but statistically he tied with Ugyon Kita Capiz (UKC) bet incumbent Mayor Vicente Bermejo.
Survey result of Random Access Consultancy Inc. (RACI) commissioned by Bombo Radyo showed that Celino got 44% while Bermejo garnered 43% with 13.0% undecided.
Bombo Radyo said that with plus-minus 3% margin of error, Celino enjoyed 47 or 41% while Bermejo obtained 46% or 40%.
For city vice mayor, Bombo Radyo said that LP bet incumbent Vice Mayor Ronnie Dadivas got 63.5 votes while UKC bet City Councilor Dennis Altobano received votes of 20% while Gani Acat, an independent, has 1.7% votes.
The RACI survey has 600 respondents in Roxas City conducted from March 26 – 31.
The survey results, according to Bombo, were tallied from several age brackets from men and women and according to their educational attainments.
On the other hand, in a Radyo Mo Nationwide (RMN) poll survey conducted last March 21 – 22, Celino got 57.5% while Bermejo only garnered 25% which is far different from the RACI survey.
However, the two networks have similar survey result on incumbent Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. and Board Member Esteban “Nonoy” Contreras, running mate for vice governor.
In a RACI survey conducted on March 26 -31: for governor, Tanco garnered 64.6% in the whole province of Capiz including component city while his opponent former Agriculture Usec. Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante got only 21% and a certain Amoroso acquired votes of 2.2% with undecided of 12.3%.
For vice governorship, Contreras still enjoy the lead of 64.7% compared to his lone opponent former City Councilor Mark Ortiz (UKC) who got only 24.8% with undecided of 14.6%.
On the other hand, RMN survey which was conducted on March 20-21, 2010, for governor: Tanco likewise enjoy the lead of 80% in Roxas City; 45.8% in 1st district and 57.5% in 2nd district while Bolante got 4.2%–28.3% and 19.2% and Amoroso: 0.8%–0.8% and 0.8% with undecided of 15% in Roxas City; 25%, 1st district and 22.5%, 2nd district.
For vice governor: Contreras garnered votes of 62.5% in Roxas City; 45.8% in 1st district and 55.8% in 2nd district while Ortiz got the votes of 19.2%–26.7% and 13.3% with undecided of 18.3%–25.0% and 30.8%.
Mr. Rudy Tamayo, RMN research director, said earlier that the survey is part of the Tatak RMN campaign to deliver responsive public service. It covers 33 key cities in the country including Roxas City.
