LP declares victory in Capiz
ROXAS CITY – Liberal Party (LP) bets, who almost dominated radio surveys in Capiz have declared victory at the Capiz Gym, Villareal Stadium during the visit of presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and vice presidential candidate Sen. Mar Roxas.
Reelectionist Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. said before some 15,000 supporters inside the Capiz Gym that since the LP’s bets topped all surveys in Capiz, he is declaring their victory.
Tanco is facing former Agriculture Usec. Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante in May 10, 2010 gubernatorial race in which the incumbent governor is overwhelmingly leading surveys.
He is proud to have Aquino and Roxas to be their national allies who are also leading the surveys.
First District Rep. Antonio del Rosario said that the time has come when one Capiceño who is the “estrella” (star) of Capiz in the person of Sen. Roxas will be the next vice president of the Philippines while Aquino is likewise the next president.
Meanwhile, Roxas said that as leader of Capiz, he piloted the ship with allies and supporters on board, towards development from 1993 to 2010.
According to him, the ship will definitely dock this May 10, 2010 polls, referring to his assumption into office as vice president of the Philippines.
Aquino and Roxas graced the 62nd death anniversary of President Manuel Roxas on April 15 last week where they were warmly welcomed by supporters and political leaders.
The 62nd death anniversary of Pres. Manuel Roxas was coincided with the 109th founding Anniversary of Capiz and 2nd International Dance Exchange where thousands of spectators flocked to Villareal Stadium.
