1 killed, 2 others wounded in Pres. Roxas benefit dance shooting
ROXAS CITY – A benefit dance goer was shot dead while two others were also wounded when a suspect went wild and fired his 12-gauge shotgun towards victims last Sunday night at President Roxas Civic Center.
The fatality was identified as Raymund Ysrael, 29, and resident of Brgy. Pantalan, this municipality.
Ysrael sustained gunshot wounds at different parts of his body, he was rushed to Bailan District Hospital but declared dead on arrival by attending physician.
Wounded were also identified as Arnel Arguilles, 21, and Eva Arroyo, 23, all of the said place. They were also rushed at the same hospital and now out of danger.
The suspect was also identified as Michael Escrupolo, legal age, of same place.
President Roxas police said that the incident took place at around 12:00 midnight of April 25 at the town’s civic center where the benefit dance sponsored by Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) was held.
Motive of the killing is yet to be establish while suspect is still at large as of press time.
