Navas deny concocting yarn vs. Jamora
Lawyer Plaridel Nava, one of the top candidates for city councilor, has denied any involvement in the black propaganda against mayoralty candidate Larry Jamora.
“We cannot do this to Jamora,” said Nava, who is allied with Jamora’s opponent. He further explained that, although he belonged to a different party, “Our family and the Jamora family are close.” The two families used to be neighbors in the Valeria Street area, it was learned.
Sumakwel Nava, the candidate’s father, echoed his son’s sentiments saying “we will never do anything against Larry (Jamora).” Nava, Punong Barangay of Libertad, Lapuz, said the alleged statement involving them to a plot to smear Jamora is just another attempt to pull down the candidacy of his son.
The smear job against Jamora has been attributed to the camp of Jed Mabilog.
Plaridel Nava, a young but popular lawyer, has consistently been a top 10 performer in the various surveys, particularly in the Bombo Radyo commissioned surveys conducted by the group, Random Access Consultants, Inc.
