Foreign media to cover Capiz polls
ROXAS CITY – Members of the Foreign Correspondent Association in the Philippines (FOCAP) are expected to cover the election in Capiz today which they consider as spectacular particularly the gubernatorial race between Liberal Party (LP) bet Gov. Victor Tanco Sr. and Ugyon Kita Capiz (UKC) bet Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante the main man in the alleged P728 million fertilizer fund scam.
A reliable source told The News Today (TNT) that Fox News, Reuters, Cable News Network (CNN) and other foreign media practitioners were already here yesterday to monitor the election result.
The same source said that FOCAP got interested with the election result in Capiz after LP’s standard bearers presidential candidate Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino and vice presidential candidate Sen. Mar Roxas said that Capiz province will land in the Guinness Book of world records if Bolante will be elected as governor.
