Bizwoman loses cash, jewelries to robbers
Two robbers looted some P180,000 and jewelries from a businesswoman Thursday evening at Brgy. Camiri, San Enrique, Iloilo.
Reports said that 49-year old Merly Palencia was on her way home on board a tricycle driven by Jerome Palabrica when two armed men waylaid them.
Aside from Palabrica, Palecia was with her helper Ralph Togon.
Palabrica claimed that the suspects immediately declared hold-up and poked a 12-gauge shotgun at them.
Both suspects were wearing hats when the incident happened.
“Hambal nila, ‘kwarta niyo da.’ Amo to nga ngadalagan ko dayon gulpi eh,” he said adding, “Pag dalagan ko, nangayo ko dayon bulig kay ginhold-up ang ama ko.”
The suspects then took the woman’s bag containing her income at her store and bakery at the town’s poblacion.
Meanwhile, Palabrica believed that the suspects are just living in the area and have conducted surveillance operations against his employer.
