LP mass oath-taking rites slated on June 30
ROXAS CITY – The Liberal Party (LP) mass oath-taking ceremony will be held on June 30, 2010 at the Metropolitan Cathedral here.
Mr. Zoe Herrera, Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Secretary, said in a text message that the mass oath taking rites will be held at 7:00 a.m. to be administered by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Executive Judge Edward Contreras.
After the oath-taking, the mass will also be held at the same venue to be celebrated by Bishop Onesimo Gordoncillo.
Herrera said that the inaugural concert will follow at around 7:00 p.m. on the same day at the Roxas City plaza to be attended by LP and its supporters.
LP elected officials who are expected to attend are: 1st District Cong. Antonio del Rosario, Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr., Vice Governor-elect Esteban “Nonoy” Contreras, Board Members-elect: Jonathan “Sony” Besa, Eduardo Magallanes, Roberto Ignacio, and Lawyer Remia Fuentes Bartolome, allof 1st district, and Aldwin Cruz-Am, 2nd district.
For the city, Mayor-elect Alan Celino, Vice Mayor Ronie Dadivas and seven out of ten city councilors-elect: Reelectionist Erwin Sicad, Judge Julius Abela, Emmanuel Billones, Jr., Powell del Rosario, Jennifer Anisco, Lynlyn Lim, and Matty Vetirbo will also be there to attend.
Five municipal mayors out of 16 were likewise expected to attend they are: Pilar Mayor Ritalyn Patricio, Pres. Roxas Mayor-elect Raymund Locsin, Maayon Mayor-elect Borres, Pontedra Mayor Steve Contreras, all of 1st district and Sigma Mayor Maria Andaya of the 2nd district.
All LP vice mayors and councilors of both 1st and 2nd district were also invited to the said mass oath-taking.
Last June 18, 11 mayors and their councilors of Lakas, Kampi CMD/Ugyon Kita Capiz (UCK) had taken their oath at the one hotel in Barangay Baybay here.
They were: Dumarao Mayor Leslie Warren “Beboy” Benjamen, Cuartero Mayor Roger Flores, Tapaz Mayor Rosemarie Gardose, Dumalag Mayor Lilia Castro, Dao Mayor Joselito Escutin, Mambusao Mayor Jose Alba, Ivisan Mayor Ipe Yap, Jamindan Mayor Ethel Jinon,all of 2nd district and Panay Mayor Dante Bermejo and Panitan Mayor Kit Belo, all of 1st district.
Lakas. Kampi CMD/UKC is being chaired by 2nd district Outgoing Rep. Fredenil Castro and Defeated gubernatorial candidate former Agriculture Usec. Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante. Congresswoman-elect Jane Castro, who was not around during the affair, was represented by her husband Fredenil.
All vice mayors and councilors also attended the said mass oath-taking.
