P10M worth of projects poured in Brgy. Lawaan
ROXAS CITY – The chief executive of Barangay Lawaan, one of the biggest barangays in this city, said that some P10 million had been poured for development projects here.
Punong Barangay Randee Albar told The News Today (TNT) that outgoing city mayor Vicente Bermejo was able to inaugurate and bless the P1.3 million of 328 meters road concreting at the Homesite formerly People’s Homesite Housing Corp. (PHHC) on Saturday.
Albar, who assumed office on October 2007, said that in three years time, he was able to have P1.4 million concreting of foot walk at Philippine Railways, P1 million sports complex, P1.7 million road concreting going to Dinginan, another P.5 million concreting of brgy road, P1.5 million of barangay road, P.5 million financial assistance and P1.8 million street lights.
Albar claimed that although Bermejo was defeated during the election, the latter won in his barangay by some 500 votes over incoming Mayor Alan Celino.
It was learned that Celino won with some 691 margin over Bermejo in the recently concluded election.
