Orosco leads Sapian oath-taking rites
ROXAS CITY – Sapian Mayor Arturo Orosco Sr. led the oath taking on June 30 with seven councilors out of eight administered by Judge Rubin Lambuson of Sigma Municipal Circuit Trial Court in rites held at the town’s civic center.
The mayor took his oath in the presence of his wife, Dr. Evangeline Oñas Orosco, son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
Orosco vowed to continue pouring development in Sapian as it was started during the incumbency of his mother-in-law former Mayor Remedios Oñas.
He said he is taking a challenge of changes where he wanted to have a good governance and honesty, will endeavor to eliminate graft and corruption as he wants Sapian to be a better place to live in.
Orosco, a second termer mayor, said that in the next three years, he will pursue an infrastructure program for the construction of health centers, waiting sheds, basketball courts, barangay roads, and day care centers.
He said that he will also sustain the town beautification, acquire heavy equipment, set up livelihood programs, and build school infrastructure using the school board fund.
Orosco thanked his constituents for giving him another mandate as well as his family and friends who supported him during the election.
Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Ralph Odrunia also urged the town residents to support the Orosco administration for it to succeed.
Other officials who took their oaths were Councilors Samson Cordero, Imelda Orillos, Perseus Garcia, Elanie Vista, Redentor Obligar, Noel Oloroso, and Reynanto Padasas. Councilor Rodel Obordo of the Liberal Party did not attend, but took his oath in Roxas City instead.
