Pagdilao assumes post as PRO-6 chief today
Chief Supt. Samuel Pagdilao will assume today the directorship of the Police Regional Office 6.
The installation rites will be held at 9 a.m. today at the PRO-6 headquarters in Camp Delgado, Iloilo City.
Before he was named PRO-6 chief, Pagdilao already had a short-lived stint in PRO-6 when he was assigned as deputy director for administration after his designation as the Philippine National Police spokesperson.
It was reported then that he was being groomed to succeed then police regional director, Chief Supt. Wilfredo Dulay. But the post eventually went to Chief Supt. Isagani Cuevas, who replaced Dulay from February 2008 until his retirement last June 25.
Meanwhile, Pagdilao was reassigned to the National Capital Regional Police Office. Then he was named chief of the NCRPO’s Northern Police District.
After Cuevas’ retirement, Chief Supt. Artemio Hicban, deputy regional director for administration, was designated PRO-6 officer-in-charge and acting regional director.
Hicban is reportedly being eyed to sit as police regional director of Region 4-B or the MIMAROPA Region.
