Inmate’s daughter to sue cop, others on pa’s death
ROXAS CITY – The daughter of inmate Francisco Agam, who died inside the lock-up cell of the city police station, has vowed to sue a police officer and other inmates for allegedly mauling his father to death.
Princes Agam made the decision after the National Bureau of Investigation discovered that her father died because of “traumatic injuries secondary to mauling.”
Dr. Noel Martinez, the medico-legal officer, who studied the body of Agam, said the victim died due to massive bleeding of internal organs.
Earlier, Agam’s daughter told reporters that PO2 Rodel Ebañes and his relatives ganged up on his father Sunday evening, the night before he died.
Ebañes, who is assigned at Roxas City police station, had Agam arrested Sunday night last week for destroying his property.
On Monday morning, Agam, 51, a resident of Sitio Nasagud, Bolo, was pronounced “dead on arrival” by an attending physician at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital.
Agam reportedly complained of abdominal pain early Monday morning and refused to eat because of his stomach problem.
