Celino warns 5 establishments for operating without permits
ROXAS CITY – Mayor Angel Alan Celino has warned five business establishments of closure for operating without business permits.
In letters sent to the respective owners dated July 14, signed by Sherlita Tumlos, officer-in-charge of Business Permist and Licensing Devision, the mayor said they are given three weeks to comply with the necessary requirements otherwise he will be forced to issue a “closure order.”
“It has come to our attention that you have been operating your business without a permit issued by this office, such operation is a violation of our existing Ordinance No. 27-A-92, as well as others local and national laws to that effect,” the mayor’s letter said.
The five business establishments are: Red Sun Restaurant in Roxas Avenue, Soul Superclub Resto Bar and Cebrew Café Bar in Arnaldo Boulevard, all owned by Janyn Apaitan; Goodshop Supermart in Roxas Avenue, owned by Helen To; and MD and B&W Drugstore in Burgos Street, owned by Leny Apaitan.
Leny Apaitan told The News Today that he already paid his business permit fees, however, the processing of his documents has been delayed because he completed the other requirements only recently.
He said that all business permits of his and his family’s business establishments are being processed.*
