Provincial fiscals to get allowance
Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr. has ordered the return of the monthly allowance of provincial prosecutors which was stopped during the time of Gov. Niel Tupas Sr., a press release from the Capitol said.
Provincial Legal Officer Dennis Ventilacion said provincial prosecutors are getting P3,000 monthly allowance each as assistance as some of them are assigned in different towns.
The Iloilo Provincial Prosecution Office is composed of 12 prosecutors headed by Provincial Prosecutor Bernabe Dusaban.
Ventilacion said the allowance will be retroactive to January of this year.
Although only a meager amount, it would be a big help to them as they perform their duties, he said.
Tupas stopped the monthly allowance for prosecutors after he had a conflict with Dusaban.
