Female drug peddler nabbed
A female hawker for a big-time drug syndicate in Iloilo City was arrested following a buy bust operation Tuesday afternoon at Brgy. Bakhaw, Mandurriao district.
Police identified the suspect as Janet Salvador, 30, also a Bakhaw resident.
Members of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group arrested her after handing a sachet of shabu worth P450 to a poseur-buyer.
When frisked, police operatives recovered five sachets of suspected shabu and P700 from her possession.
Both the CAIDSOTG and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency attested that the suspect is on their watchlist of illegal drug personalities.
“She admitted to us that she is indeed peddling illegal drugs. Her customers go to her house to buy shabu,” CAIDSOTG chief, Chief Insp. Dande Deocampo, said.
Police alleged she is working for suspected drug lord Richard Prevendido whose group brings the supply to her house.
Salvador is now detained pending the filing of charges against her for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
