Capiz creates TF on dengue crisis
ROXAS CITY oxas City – The Province of Capiz has created a Dengue Crisis Management Task Force after province was placed under a state of calamity because of high dengue cases.
Gov. Victor Tanco issued Executive Order No. 39, which created the Task Force under his chairmanship.
Tanco, in his order, said “it is imperative that a special body should be created whose primary function is to manage the present crisis that is gripping the entire province.”
The task force will be responsible in handling the monitoring, surveillance and response on any matter relating to control and prevention as well as curative actions.
The Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. Samuel Delfin co-chairs the Task Force. The members include the provincial administrator, chiefs of government hospitals, hospital administrators of private hospitals and representatives of the Department of Health, Philippine Red Cross, Capiz Medical Society, Department of Education in Capiz and Roxas City, Association of Municipal Health Officers, and Provincial Press Bureau.
